Thompson's 9th-floor pool is at 506 San Jacinto Blvd, Downtown Austin. It has terrace seating, and the hotel lists a gym, sauna and cold plunge alongside it. Hours and heating aren't published by the hotel.
Our take
Thompson ties Austin Marriott Downtown and Canopy by Hilton at $30, and it is the one that publishes a floor. The Westin Austin Downtown is higher on the 20th floor, but its pass starts at $40.
The drawback is missing detail. The hotel doesn't publish pool hours or heating, so the $30 doesn't tell you how long you can swim or whether it works in cooler months. Check before a winter visit.
