Lima swims best from January to March, when average highs reach 26.8°C in January, up from 22.4°C in November. Nine hotels here have a rooftop pool. Two sell access to non-guests, one is guests only, and six don't publish who can swim.

Our first pick is SOUMA Lima: a heated rooftop infinity pool with day passes on ResortPass, and Pacific views the hotel cites from the 18th floor. The easier route for a spa-minded visitor is Miraflores Park, where a spa treatment booking gets non-guests into the rooftop infinity pool.

When to swim on a Lima rooftop

Book January to March for the warmest swimming. Average highs are 26.8°C in January and 24.4°C in December, against 22.4°C in November. No event weeks that fill Lima hotels are in our data.

For cooler months, stick to the heated pools: SOUMA Lima, Hotel nhow Lima, INNSiDE Miraflores and Hyatt Centric San Isidro. None of the hotels on our list publishes a winter closure or opening dates, so confirm the season before you book.

Average daily highs: November 22°C (72°F), December 24°C (76°F), January 27°C (80°F). The warmest stretch for swimming is Jan–Mar.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not

Five hotels people expect to find here have no rooftop pool: their pools are indoors or at ground level, or the roof is only a bar or restaurant.

  • Hotel Costa del Sol Wyndham - Lima Ciudad. The only pool described is an indoor, temperature-controlled pool in the spa area. The sources place the rooftop only as the Saria Sky Bar, with no pool on it.
  • Sonesta Hotel El Olivar. The hotel's own pages describe an outdoor ("exterior") pool with no mention of a roof or top-floor terrace, so it is not a rooftop pool.
  • AC Hotel by Marriott Lima Miraflores. No swimming pool is mentioned for this hotel on the hotel's own pages. The rooftop is a restaurant (Insumo). A third-party ranking explicitly says there is no pool.
  • Hotel B. None of the sources mention a swimming pool. The hotel's site refers to its rooftop (azotea) only as a dining spot, so this is a rooftop without a pool.
  • Holiday Inn Express Waikiki. The sources describe Holiday Inn Express Lima San Isidro (Calle Coronel Andres Reyes 492), not a "Waikiki" hotel in Lima, so I treated them as the same hotel. The hotel's own site says it has one indoor pool, and no source places a pool on the roof or a top-floor terrace. The Rooftop Guide page covers Honolulu and was excluded.
