Summer is when Ibiza's rooftop pools earn their keep, and July to September are the best three months to swim. Every one of the 15 hotels we list has a pool on the roof or a top-floor terrace. Six sell day passes, three keep the pool for guests, and six don't publish who can swim.

Our first pick is Ocean Drive Talamanca: day passes are sold on od-hotels.com from €50 in low season, and the hotel publishes daily pool hours of 11:30 to 19:30. For an easier route without a pass, The Standard, Ibiza lets non-guests in on a minimum spend at its Eivissa rooftop pool.

When to swim on a Ibiza rooftop

July to September is the best stretch for a rooftop swim in Ibiza, and it is the window to plan around if you want a day pass. Ocean Drive Talamanca quotes its €50 day pass as a low-season price, so the same pass may cost more in peak summer.

Winter is cooler: average highs are 19.6°C in November, 16.7°C in December and 15.7°C in January. Hotel One Ibiza Suites is the only pool on our list that the hotel says is heated, and it is open to hotel clients only. Every other hotel leaves heating unpublished, so ask before you book a cold-month stay for the pool.

Average daily highs: November 20°C (67°F), December 17°C (62°F), January 16°C (60°F). The warmest stretch for swimming is Jul–Sep.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not

Six Ibiza hotels people expect to find here don't have a rooftop swimming pool, based on the hotels' own pages.

  • BLESS Ibiza The Site. The hotel's own pages mention a rooftop for sunset cocktails and whirlpool tubs on rooftop suites, but name no rooftop swimming pool. The only pools described are semi-private pools tied to ground-floor rooms.
  • Hostal Cala Boix. The hotel's own site describes a garden pool on a private plot, not a roof or top-floor pool. Google Maps lists no pool details.
  • Ibiza Gran Hotel. No source places a swimming pool on the roof or a top-floor terrace. The only pools described are the Open Spa's heated hydrotherapy pools, and the homepage pool headline gives no location. Status is not-rooftop by default, not because a ground-level pool was confirmed.
  • BLESS Ibiza Cala Nova. The hotel's site mentions a rooftop and day passes for loungers, but no swimming pool on the roof or anywhere else. Only spa water circuits and suite hot tubs are described.
  • Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay. The hotel's own pools page describes two outdoor pools facing the sea, steps from the beach. No source places a pool on the roof or a top-floor terrace.
  • Montesol Experimental Ibiza. The hotel's own Ibiza rooftop pages describe a rooftop cocktail bar and terrace with views, and none mention a swimming pool. The pool-on-roof mentions in the sources relate to Experimental Roma and Cowley Manor, which are different properties.
  • The Olive. Two third-party sources (Destinia, TripAdvisor) place the outdoor pool in the garden, not on a roof. No source places a pool on this hotel's roof. The rooftop pool articles (Roomer, Instagram reel) describe Aguas de Ibiza, a different hotel, so I excluded them.
  • La Torre del Canonigo, an SLH Hotel. Neither source mentions a swimming pool. The hotel's site describes a restaurant with a terrace and sea views, and the Google Maps listing only gives the address and category. Per the rules, no pool means not-rooftop.

Ibiza rooftop pools: questions people ask

Which Ibiza hotels let non-guests use the rooftop pool?

Six hotels on our list sell day passes or non-guest access: Ocean Drive Talamanca, TRS Ibiza, Hotel Blau Park, INNSiDE Ibiza Beach, The Standard, Ibiza and W Ibiza. Ocean Drive sells on od-hotels.com, TRS on palladiumhotelgroup.com and Blau Park on blauparchotels.com. W Ibiza takes bookings by email to ww.wibiza@whotels.com. The Standard works on a minimum spend instead of a pass.

Are any Ibiza rooftop pools heated or open in winter?

Yes, one: Hotel One Ibiza Suites, an adults-only infinity pool that the hotel says is heated. It is open to hotel clients only. Winter highs run from 15.7°C in January to 19.6°C in November. Heating is unpublished at every other hotel here.

Which Ibiza hotel has the highest rooftop pool?

The 9th floor is the highest published: INNSiDE Ibiza Beach states it for its infinity pool. Of the hotels we list, it is the only one that publishes a floor. Guests and day-pass holders swim there, adults only.

Are there family-friendly rooftop pools in Ibiza?

Only partly. Hotel Blau Park takes ages 12 and over on its rooftop infinity pool, and Meliá Ibiza takes 16 and over. INNSiDE Ibiza Beach, TRS Ibiza, Hotel One Ibiza Suites and ME Ibiza are adults only. Most other hotels on our list don't publish an age rule.

How can I swim at an Ibiza rooftop pool for the least money?

The lowest published price is €50, for a low-season day pass at Ocean Drive Talamanca. TRS Ibiza's day pass is €120. The Standard, Ibiza has no fixed pass, so non-guests pay a minimum spend on food and drink instead.

Which Ibiza rooftop pools are for hotel guests only?

Three: Iberostar Selection Santa Eulalia, Hotel One Ibiza Suites and Meliá Ibiza. At Iberostar only Star Prestige room guests can use the pool. At Meliá, The Level guests get exclusive rooftop access until 6 p.m.
