Sliema's best swimming months are July to September, and January highs average only 15.3°C, so season matters here. Eighteen hotels have a rooftop pool. Only one sells a day pass, five are guests only, and the other 12 leave access unstated.

If you're booking a room and want clear hours, Plaza Regency publishes 09:00 to 18:00 for its 7th-floor pool, plus an indoor pool from November to April.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not
Three hotels people expect to find here have no rooftop pool, so they aren't on the list.
Barceló Fortina Malta. The hotel's own site lists no rooftop pool. It mentions only a spa (adults only) and a pool at Manta Lido, an external venue in front of the hotel. No source places a pool on the hotel's roof or top floor.
115 The Strand Hotel by NEU Collective. The only hotel pool is an indoor pool in the 8th-floor wellness centre. The 10th-floor rooftop terrace has a jacuzzi and sunbathing, not a pool. The rooftop-pool wording on the hotel's suites page appears to describe Aqualuna Lido, which the FAQ places across the road.
Preluna Hotel - Malta. Pools are the Beach Club outdoor salt-water pool (by the sea) and the indoor spa pool. No roof or top-floor pool is stated. A review mentions a rooftop bar, but no rooftop pool.
Sliema rooftop pools: questions people ask
Which Sliema hotels let non-guests swim on the roof?
One. Grands Suites sells a day pass for its 11th-floor infinity pool, but the price isn't shown. Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Novotel and Bayview list their pools as guests only. The other 12 hotels don't state who can swim, so contact them before you go.
Are any Sliema rooftop pools heated or open in winter?
Yes. Five hotels list heating. 1926 Le Soleil is the one with a heated rooftop pool, on the 12th floor, which the hotel calls open year-round. Verdi and Bayview have indoor pools open all year, and VITA Hotel says its top-floor pool is heated when the weather cools. H Hotel closes November to April.
Which Sliema hotel has the highest rooftop pool?
Novotel Malta Sliema, on Level 14, is the highest floor any hotel on our list publishes. It's for staying guests, with no day pass listed. 1926 Le Soleil and Malta Marriott are next at the 12th floor, and Grands Suites is at the 11th.
Which Sliema rooftop pools are adults only?
Yes. AX The Palace (9th floor) and AX The Victoria (8th floor) are both adults-only hotels. The other hotels don't publish family rules, so ask the hotel directly.
How can I swim at a Sliema rooftop pool on a budget?
Grands Suites sells the only day pass on our list, but it doesn't show the price. No other hotel publishes a day-pass price, so for everyone else the route in is a room booking.
Do Sliema rooftop pools stay open into the evening?
Some do. Plaza Regency's rooftop pool runs 09:00 to 18:00, and its bar stays open until midnight. Bayview lists free guest use from 10:00 to 18:00. Sliema Centric publishes rooftop gazebo hours of 9am to 6pm. Most other hotels don't publish pool hours.
