If you only swim at one guests-only pool, this one publishes the most. The infinity pool is on the 8th floor, open 7am to 7pm daily, with views of Sagrada Familia, Glòries Tower and the Gothic Cathedral.
The pool
The infinity pool is on the 8th floor at La Terraza del Central, on Via Laietana. Balinese beds sit alongside it, and a rooftop sauna overlooks the city. The catch is a limit of one sunbed per room.
Our take
Seventy is guests-only on the 7th floor, and H10 Cubik is the other Via Laietana hotel with cathedral views, but it has a plunge pool and no published hours. Grand Hotel Central gives you an infinity pool, a stated 7am to 7pm window and towels provided by the hotel.
The downside is sunbed supply. Sunbeds are bookable in 2-hour slots, the hotel's FAQ gives the slots as 10am to 6pm, and each room gets one sunbed. A couple may have to share. La Terraza's bar opens to locals in the evenings, but the pool stays with guests.
