Pick Nomads if you want a sociable rooftop for the length of your stay rather than a quiet deck. Swimming is for guests, and the bar sits right next to the pool.
The pool
A 3-star hotel on Av Carlos Nader in Supermanzana 2A has its pool up on the roof. The bar beside it serves coffee by day and cocktails at sunset. Floor, hours and heating are unpublished.
Our take
Nomads is built for young, creative travelers and digital nomads, and Google Maps files it as a youth hostel as well as a hotel and bar. That sets it apart from the resort pools further up our list, such as Royalton Chic on the 18th floor in Punta Cancun.
The catch is access. Hyatt Ziva is the only other guests-only pool on our list, and Nomads gives non-guests no route in. If you only want a few hours on a roof, look at the day-pass hotels instead.
Good to know
- Pool and bar share the same roof deck
- 4.6 Google rating from 1947 reviews
- Bar serves coffee by day and cocktails at sunset
The catches
- Open to guests only; no day pass listed
- Floor, hours and heating aren't published
Best forSolo travelers and remote workers after a roof deck with both pool and bar.
Skip it ifYou need a day pass, or a pool you can use without booking a room.
Getting in
Only hotel guests can swim. No day pass or bar-only visitor access is published.
Age rules are missing too, so ask when you book if you're traveling with children.
Tips
- Ask at booking for the pool's opening hours, since the hotel doesn't list them.
- The bar serves coffee in the day, so a morning is a quieter time to use the roof than sunset.
Before you go. Confirm pool hours and any age rules with the hotel before you book, because neither is published.
