Pick The Silo for a heated rooftop pool at a 5-star V&A Waterfront hotel, as long as you're booking a room. Only residents can swim.

The pool

The pool is on the roof of the hotel at Silo Square in the V&A Waterfront, in the area called The Silo Rooftop. It is heated and has panoramic views. Only resident guests can use it, and the hotel doesn't publish its floor.

Our take

The Silo is the one to choose over Cloud 9 if you want warm water through the cooler months and are already planning a stay. Cloud 9 lets in non-residents, while The Silo does not, and its heating is stated outright.

The downside is winter: the hotel says rooftop experiences in that season depend on weather and can change at short notice. If you're coming in June or July, when highs sit around 17°C, ask before you count on the roof. The number for rooftop questions is +27 (0) 21 670 0509.
