Skip it if you need a room or a pass. Lincoln Common's penthouse-level rooftop pools are for residents of its apartment towers, with skyline and Lake Michigan views.
The pool
Lincoln Common, in the Mid-North District at 2345 N Lincoln Ave, has a rooftop pool on the penthouse level of each tower. Views run across the skyline and Lake Michigan. The catch is access: residents only.
Our take
Lincoln Common is the only entry on our list for residents instead of hotel guests. Even the guests-only Viceroy lets a traveler in with a booking, and nothing here does. It belongs on the list as a pool to know about, not one to plan a stay around.
Shared rooftop amenities include a pool, hot tub and sun deck, and both towers have reservable penthouse sky lounges with entertainment kitchens. Visitors can't use any of it, and no day pass is published.
