Pick this for privacy rather than a shared deck. Some room types have a 200 m2 rooftop terrace with their own pool, and the hotel lists adults only. That makes it a room choice, not a pool you can swim in on a visit.
The pool
The pools are private, built into the rooftop terraces (azoteas) of certain room types on the N-340 at Urb. Benamara. Sunloungers sit on each terrace, and the hotel mentions panoramic views of the pool at breakfast. The floor isn't published, and only some rooms have one.
Our take
Senator Banús is the only 5-star on our list, and the only one where the roof pool belongs to a single room. Hotel Estepona Plaza and Hotel Estepona Patio describe a rooftop pool for the hotel. Here you pay for a room type, so check which rooms have the terrace.
The downside is that a general rooftop pool isn't described. The hotel also lists an Outdoor Pool, the Attitude pool club and Senzia Spa & Wellness, but doesn't say where they are or who can use them.
Good to know
- 200 m2 rooftop terrace with private pool in some rooms
- Adults only, as the hotel lists it
- Sunloungers on the terrace
The catches
- Only certain room types have the rooftop pool
- Public access to any pool isn't published
Best forAdult couples who want a private plunge pool on their own roof terrace.
Skip it ifYou're traveling with children or want a shared pool open to visitors who have no room.
Getting in
You need to book a room type with the rooftop terrace and private pool. The hotel lists adults only, so children aren't an option.
No day pass or non-guest access is published. The hotel also lists an Outdoor Pool, Attitude pool club and Senzia Spa & Wellness, but their access rules aren't published either.
Tips
- Check the room description for the 200 m2 rooftop terrace with private pool before you pay.
- Ask whether the Attitude pool club is open to non-guests if you want a shared pool as well.
Before you go. Check that your exact room type includes the rooftop terrace and pool. Only some room types do, the hotel says.
