The pool
On Piazza di Santa Maria Novella, this heated pool sits on the rooftop terrace of a 13th-century palazzo. Views run 360 degrees across Florence, with sunset to the west and the Duomo bells to the east. The floor isn't published by the hotel.
Our take
Minerva and Plaza Hotel Lucchesi split the same question. At Minerva, non-guests get the bar but not the water; at Plaza, visitors can book the pool itself from 19:30.
The pool is guests only and seasonal, April to October. The bar opens to outsiders only from 7:30 pm, so a daytime look needs a room.
