The pool is on the eighth-floor rooftop at 2900 Riomar St, heated, with Intracoastal Waterway views. Escape Rooftop Bar at the top serves cocktails and light bites. Rooftop DJs on weekends are the catch.
Our take
The Kimpton and the Hyatt Centric share an 8th-floor height, but only the Kimpton states its pool is heated and adds a second pool. Against the Hyatt's $20 pass, that is what the $50 buys, and it counts in January, when average highs are 24.2°C. It also undercuts the Omni's $60.
Live DJs play the rooftop bar on Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to 7 pm. If you want a quiet swim, go on a weekday. The hotel doesn't publish a rooftop age rule.
