The pool
On the rooftop, 29th floor, at 246 Queen's Rd E in Wan Chai, the pool is a cantilevered infinity pool with a glass bottom. Skybar sits nearby, and the hotel pours free-flow red and white wine daily from 15:00 to 21:00. The catch is the season: it closes in winter.
Our take
Wan Chai is one of Hong Kong Island's main going-out districts, and this is the island option on our top group. Hotel ICON also looks over the harbour, but it is heated and works year-round. Indigo asks you to come between May and October, which includes the Jul to Sep stretch we call the best swim months.
The honest downside is the six-month gap. With no heating published, a November to April stay means a gym and a bar, not a swim. The 24-hour gym is some consolation. Pool access is for guests only.
