Warm water in winter is the reason to book here. The pool is held at 28°C, three jacuzzis run at 34 to 36°C, and the hotel publishes its hours. Guests only, with no day pass.
The pool
This outdoor pool sits on the Roof Garden in San Jerónimo Lídice, looking over the south of Mexico City. It's 1.35 metres deep and heated to a constant 28°C. Access is the catch: the hotel says there is no day pass for non-guests.
Our take
Galería Plaza gives the most detail of any pool on our list: 28°C water, 1.35 metres deep, 08:00 to 20:00, and jacuzzis at 34 to 36°C until 23:00. XOMA in Roma Norte limits its pool to guests as well, and publishes far less.
The downside is the 20:00 closing time for the pool itself. Arrive after work and you have the jacuzzis only. Pool parties and noisy private events aren't allowed, so expect a calm deck, but don't plan a group celebration here.
