A $30 ResortPass ticket gets non-guests an infinity rooftop pool, plunge pools and the spa's sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and cold plunge. Book it for a Downtown day with bay views if you want more than a lounger.
The pool
The Altitude Pool Deck is on the rooftop of the hotel at 1300 S Miami Ave in Downtown Miami. It has an infinity pool and plunge pools, with Downtown and bay views and loungers on the south side of the terrace. The hotel doesn't publish the floor number or whether the water is heated.
Our take
Hyatt Centric Brickell, also Downtown, publishes a 19th floor and a heated pool, with passes from $40. Dua publishes neither detail but costs $30, and that price includes the spa. If you care how high you swim, pick Hyatt. If a cold plunge and steam room after the pool sounds better, pick Dua.
The catch is the missing detail. With no floor and no heating information, you can't tell how it will feel in winter, when Downtown highs run 24.6 in January and 25.7 in December (Celsius). Ask the hotel before you buy a pass on a cooler day.
