The pool
Le Méridien's outdoor pool sits on the roof at 333 Poydras St in the Central Business District, with skyline views. Its floor is given as the 4th. There are three private cabanas with couches, lounge chairs and TVs.
Our take
At $40, Le Méridien costs $5 more than NOPSI and $20 more than the Sheraton. The extra buys cabanas, towels at the pool and a side table at each lounge chair. NOPSI has a bar at its pool, and this hotel's pool page lists none.
The catch is the cabana area itself: it has no showers or changing area. Cabanas are booked through the concierge, so arrange yours before you arrive.
