Choose this if you want a 5-star hotel with both an outdoor heated pool and an indoor spa pool. The rooftop has a solarium too. The floor and non-guest access aren't published, so you'd be booking on faith.

The pool

The Boscolo Exedra, on Boulevard Victor Hugo, has a heated outdoor panoramic pool on its rooftop, with a solarium. A separate indoor spa pool sits inside the hotel. Neither the floor nor who can use the pool is published.

Our take

Boscolo is the only 5-star on this part of our list, and it is the one with a pool on each level of the hotel's offer: rooftop and spa. Nemea Appart'Hotel Nice Riviera is similar on paper, with outdoor and indoor heated pools, but Boscolo adds the solarium and the star rating.

Very little is published here. There's no floor, no season, no hours and no day pass. If the height of the pool matters to you, Sheraton Nice (6th floor) and AC Hotel Nice (7th floor) both give a number. Ask Boscolo for one before you commit.

No age rules or hours are published. Ask at booking, especially for the spa pool, which may run on different terms from the rooftop.

Tips

  • Ask whether the rooftop pool is open for your dates; the best swim months in Nice are July to September.
  • If you visit between November and January, the indoor spa pool is the likelier option, since highs fall from 17°C to 13.3°C.

Before you go. Get the pool's floor, opening months and hours from the hotel. None of them is published.

Pool facts and where they come from

Facts marked "unconfirmed" come from a travel guide or booking site, not from the hotel. Check them with the hotel before you plan around them.
