The pool
Open-air resort pool on the roof of The Alfond Inn in Winter Park, with a poolside bar and dining. A separate Spa Pool area is reserved for guests 18 and over. The floor isn't published, and there is no day pass.
Our take
The Alfond is the one place on our list where you can book a private cabana by the half day or full day. Each has a safe, mini fridge, fan and TV. Cabanas open at 10:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM Sunday to Thursday, and at 6:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
The catch is access. The Spa Pool needs a booked treatment, and the hotel lists no day pass. Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Downtown is the adults-only alternative that sells passes to non-guests. Also, cabana rental doesn't include spa amenity access.

Getting in
Access is for hotel guests. The Spa Pool also admits anyone holding a spa treatment booking. The age limit of 18 and over applies to the Spa Pool and the spa amenities. The hotel lists no day pass.
Cabanas need a reservation and are rented for half a day or a full day, for ages 18 and up. Bathing suits are required, and outside food and drink aren't allowed on the pool deck.
Tips
- Reserve a cabana ahead. Sunday to Thursday they close at 5:00 PM.
- Go for a Friday or Saturday cabana if you want the extra hour, to 6:00 PM.
