Choose Mousai if an adults-only resort matters more than knowing the rules up front. The hotel lists an infinity-edge pool with a bar called The Rooftop next to it. The floor, the heating and non-guest access are all missing.

The pool

Hotel Mousai is a 5-star, adults-only resort on the Puerto Vallarta highway toward Barra de Navidad (address: Km. 7.5, Torre 6). The Rooftop bar sits beside its infinity-edge pool and serves lunch and cocktails by day. The floor, the heating and who can swim aren't published by the hotel.

Our take

Mousai is one of two hotels on our list that don't publish their access rules. The other is The Paramar Beachfront Hotel Boutique, which at least lists heating. Mousai leaves heating out too, so you know the least about the practical side here.

What it does have is a clear adults-only rule and food at the pool: a rooftop bar for lunch and cocktails by day, plus a Snack Pool by Elía next to the infinity pool. Sayulinda lists a day pass from MX$902, if a priced pass matters to you. Mousai lists none.

Good to know

  • Adults-only resort, so no children at the pool
  • Infinity-edge pool with The Rooftop bar beside it
  • Snack Pool by Elía serves light bites next to the pool

The catches

  • Day pass and non-guest access aren't published
  • Floor and heating aren't published

Best forAdult travelers staying at the resort who like a bar beside the pool.

Skip it ifYou need a published day pass, a stated floor or a heated pool.

Getting in

Access rules for the pool aren't published by the hotel. No day pass or price appears on its pages, so a stay is the only route we can confirm.

The resort is adults-only, so guests under the hotel's age limit can't use it. The age limit isn't stated in the facts we have.

Tips

  • Email or call the hotel before you travel and ask if outside visitors can swim, and at what price.
  • Plan lunch or cocktails by the pool in the daytime, when The Rooftop bar serves both.

Before you go. Confirm with the hotel if visitors who aren't staying there can swim at all, and at what price. That isn't published.
