Pick this for a heated Skydeck pool with private cabanas, if you accept that it is in West Hollywood rather than Santa Monica. Day passes start at €75, fees included.

The pool

The pool is on the Skydeck rooftop terrace, with views of the LA skyline, Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills. The hotel's address is 733 W Knoll Dr, West Hollywood, CA 90069, not Santa Monica. The catch is the price, which is above most passes on our list.

Our take

Le Parc costs more than Santa Monica Proper to get into, at €75 against €25, but the setting is more private. There are chaise lounges, lounge chairs and cabanas, plus a pool bar and a newly installed, fully stocked bar on the Skydeck.

The downside is the location and the unknowns. It is a West Hollywood trip from the coast. The hotel doesn't state whether guests have separate access rules, and no hours or floor are published.
