Siem Reap swims best from March to May, and even the cooler months stay warm, with average highs of 30.6°C to 31.7°C from November to January. Every one of the 10 hotels we list has its pool on the roof. None publishes whether non-guests can swim, so assume a room is the way in.

Our first pick is The Community, which lists rooftop pool hours of daily 9am to 9pm and faces the sunset. For a pool outside the March to May window, La Plante is the easier call: the hotel describes its rooftop pool as a year-round swim.

When to swim on a Siem Reap rooftop

March to May is the best stretch for a rooftop swim in Siem Reap. The cooler months are still warm: average highs are 31.2°C in November, 30.6°C in December and 31.7°C in January, so a roof pool works in winter too.

No hotel on our list says its pool is heated. La Plante is the one that calls its rooftop pool open year-round. Homewood's terrace pool is listed for 4:00 to 6:00 PM only, and The Community's for 9am to 9pm daily, so check hours before you plan a day around either.

Average daily highs: November 31°C (88°F), December 31°C (87°F), January 32°C (89°F). The warmest stretch for swimming is Mar–May.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not

These well-known Siem Reap hotels came up while we built the list, but no source puts their pools on a roof or top floor.

  • Park Hyatt Siem Reap. No source places the pool on a roof or top-floor terrace. Sources describe outdoor, tree-studded pools and luxurious gardens, which points to a ground-level pool, but no source states the level explicitly.
  • Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor Siem Reap. The pool is described as a ground-level outdoor pool in the gardens, beside the spa and lawns. No source places it on the roof or a top floor.
  • WAKA VILLA Private Resort & Spa Siem Reap - 16+ Adults Only. Each villa has a private pool in a garden setting. No source mentions a rooftop or top-floor pool, so this is a not-rooftop property.
  • Nico’s Hotel and Sky Bar. Sources describe a 4th-floor sky bar but mention no swimming pool anywhere, so no rooftop pool can be confirmed.
  • Shinta Mani Angkor. The hotel's own pages describe private pools inside Bensley Pool Villas and a "vibrant pool scene" within tropical gardens. They mention rooftop sky lounges, which are not pools, and no source says any pool is on the roof or a top-floor terrace.
  • Mad Monkey Siem Reap. Neither source mentions a swimming pool at Mad Monkey Siem Reap. The Google Maps listing lists only hotel, bar, guest house, hostel and restaurant. The hotel's site lists only promotions and tour packages. No rooftop pool is evidenced.
  • Templation. Sources describe private pools inside villas and suites set in gardens. None says a swimming pool is on the roof or top-floor terrace. The ranking page names no hotel, so its 700 sqm pool is not attributed to Templation.
  • THE BEIGE. The hotel's own site says the infinity pool is suspended five metres above the ground in the forest, not on a roof or top-floor terrace. The ranking page gives 15 metres, but the hotel's own figure wins; neither source places it on a roof.

Siem Reap rooftop pools: questions people ask

Which Siem Reap hotels let non-guests use the rooftop pool?

None of the 10 hotels on our list publishes a policy for day visitors or non-guests. Bronam Residence says its pool costs extra, so ask what the fee covers. For the rest, ask the front desk before you go.

Are any Siem Reap rooftop pools heated or open in winter?

No hotel on our list says its pool is heated. La Plante describes its rooftop pool as open year-round, and it lists a sauna and hot tub beside it. Average highs of 30.6°C to 31.7°C from November to January also keep winter swims warm.

Which Siem Reap hotel has the highest rooftop pool?

No hotel on our list publishes the floor of its pool, so we can't name the highest. Koulen Central lists a 5th floor Sky Bar beside its rooftop pool, but the pool's own floor isn't stated.

What are the pool hours at Siem Reap rooftop pools?

Two hotels publish them. The Community lists daily 9am to 9pm, and Homewood Hotel lists 4:00 to 6:00 PM for its rooftop terrace pool. City River's poolside bar takes orders from 11:00 to 21:30, but its swim hours aren't published.

Yes, several. Two Seasons has a sky bar serving sunset cocktails, Koulen Central a 5th floor Sky Bar, Okay 1 Villa a Sky Bar beside the pool, Bronam Residence the Romhery Sky Bar, and The Aviary the Glide Bar.

How can I swim at a Siem Reap rooftop pool for the least money?
