Season
May through September, closed for 2026 season as of today

Pick this for a summer stay built around a plunge pool and a skyline deck. Swimming is limited to hotel guests and building residents, at 90 minutes a day, and the pool is closed for the 2026 season.

The pool

A rooftop deck with a plunge pool and sweeping skyline views, at 550 Wellington St W in Old Toronto. The season runs May through September. The floor isn't published, and the pool is closed for 2026.

Our take

Like Hotel X and BISHA, 1 Hotel is guests only, but it also admits building residents, and it's the one that spells out its season: May through September. Hotel X publishes a floor and heated water instead.

The downside is crowding rules. Chairs go first come, first served with a 90-minute limit and no reservations, so a warm afternoon can mean waiting for a seat. Heating isn't published either, so don't count on a swim in the cooler ends of the season. Harriet's Rooftop restaurant and bar sits on the same deck.

Good to know

  • Open May through September
  • Plunge pool with skyline views
  • Harriet's Rooftop restaurant and bar on site

The catches

  • Limit of 90 minutes a day, no reservations
  • Closed now for the 2026 season
  • Floor and heating not published

Best forSummer guests who want a plunge pool and skyline views from a rooftop deck.

Skip it ifYou're travelling between October and April, when the pool is closed.

Getting in

Swimming is for hotel guests and building residents only. No day pass is published.

Chairs are for registered guests and residents, first come, with a 90-minute daily limit. Outside food and drink aren't allowed, and pets can't go on the pool deck. Age rules aren't published.

Tips

  • Arrive early on warm days: chairs are first come and nothing can be reserved.
  • Order from the Pool Deck menu, because outside food and drink aren't permitted.

Before you go. With the 2026 season over, check the reopening date for May before you book.
