The pool
An indoor pool on the 18th floor at 525 Bay St. in Old Toronto, with a whirlpool and hot tub on the same floor. A 24-hour fitness center is also on site, and the catch is that who can swim isn't published.
Our take
The Marriott has the lowest published floor on our list, 18th against Hotel X's 28th and BISHA's 44th. It's also indoors, so it doesn't compete with those pools for an open-air June to August swim. It competes in winter.
Access is the downside. The hotel doesn't publish whether non-guests can swim, and Sheraton Centre is the only hotel on our list with a day pass. Call before you count on a visit.
