The rooftop infinity pool faces the Caribbean horizon, and external visitors are welcome. That makes it the one on our list where sea views and outside access come together, if you plan around the beach club hours.
The pool
The pool is an infinity pool with Moroccan-inspired tiles on the rooftop terrace of an adults-only beachfront hotel on the Tulum-Boca Paila road, km 10. Panoramic views run over the Caribbean horizon. The floor isn't published.
Our take
Sana is the sea-view alternative to Layla, which looks over Tulum town. Both are adults-only and both welcome outsiders, but Layla names ResortPass and Sana publishes no day-pass price at all.
That's the downside. The beach club may apply a minimum spend depending on season, and access is subject to availability, so a visit isn't guaranteed. The hotel says it has heated pools, yet the rooftop pool isn't named among them. Book ahead, as the club recommends advance reservations.
