The pool
The pool sits on the 20th floor at 310 E 5th St, next to Azul Rooftop, with sweeping skyline views and loungers. Azul serves cocktails and shareable bites and is open to the public, with hours that vary. There is no lifeguard on duty.
Our take
Against 1 Hotel's 16th floor, which is guests only, the Westin is the higher pool and the one you can buy your way into. It also costs $40 against Hilton's $35 and Van Zandt's $20.
The catch is age. Under-21s must be accompanied by an adult staying at the hotel the whole time, so a day pass holder under 21 can't swim alone. The hotel doesn't publish whether the pool is heated.
