Pick Cuco for two pools on one stay: a small one on the roof and a larger garden pool opposite the hotel. Access is the catch. Non-guest swimming isn't published, and neither is a floor.
The pool
Hotel Cuco's small pool sits on the azotea, a design rooftop terrace with a chill-out area. It is near the centre and Poniente beach. Junior Suite Premium rooms face the pool. No floor is published, and the rooftop pool is small.
Our take
Cuco pairs a small roof pool with a large second pool, which no other hotel in this part of our list does. The XL pool sits opposite the hotel, has a garden and sun loungers, and takes adults and children. Sister hotel Sol y Sombra shares it, and Cuco guests can swim there.
The downside is size. The roof pool is small, so on a hot August afternoon the XL pool is likely where you will end up. Parking is also tight: €15 a day, limited spaces, and no advance booking.
