The cheap way onto a Miami Beach roof: a limited ResortPass day pass from $25 gets you to the 4th-floor pool. Sora Rooftop Bar opens to the public daily from 5pm.

The pool

The pool is on the fourth-floor rooftop of the Collins Building at Hotel Greystone, with loungers and Collins Avenue views. Sora Rooftop Bar serves cocktails and light bites by the pool. Day passes are limited, and the hotel doesn't publish its pool hours.

Our take

Greystone costs $25, against $50 at Arlo Wynwood, and it's the lowest floor of the pools that publish one on our list. Towels come with pool use. Sora is open to the public from 5pm if you only want a drink.

The catch is that passes are limited, so you can't count on one on a busy weekend. Staying adds a $45 daily resort fee that includes rooftop pool access. For a plain swim in South Beach, Flamingo Park Pool is $19 for ages 18 and up.
