Pick SLS LUX if you want to swim laps and are staying there. The 9th-floor pool is 75 feet long, open sunrise to sunset, and reserved for guests.
The pool
Altitude Pool & Lounge sits on a 9th-floor terrace in Downtown Miami. The lap pool is 75 feet long, with cabanas and views of downtown and the Brickell skyline. Only guests can use it.
Our take
This is the guests-only choice for lap swimmers. W Miami is also guests-only, on the 15th floor, but publishes no pool length. If you want to pay to enter, Hyatt Centric Brickell has passes from $40 and its pool is on the 19th floor.
The downside is that cabanas can't be reserved. They go to whoever arrives first, so get there early on Saturdays, when a DJ plays from 12pm to 5pm. Around Ultra, March 26 to 28, 2027, book the room early.
