The pool
The outdoor rooftop pool is on the top floor, beside a solarium with loungers, chaise lounges and shaded corners. The Pool Bar is on the 6th floor next to it, with urban skyline views. Access is the weak spot, because the hotel publishes so little about it.
Our take
Calimala puts a bar right beside the pool, and room service follows the Pool Bar menu from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. VIU has a better-documented schedule, but Calimala lets you eat and drink without leaving the deck.
Access is the downside. Whether outside guests can swim, what the hours are and whether the pool is heated all go unpublished. The hotel opened in July 2025, so it is the newest on our list. Some rooms sleep up to four, but no kids' pool or amenities are listed.
