Book here if you want a published schedule and a pool high above the city. Guests swim on the 8th floor until 6 p.m., and outside visitors can reach the terrace from 6:30 p.m.
The pool
On The VIU Terrace, the outdoor pool sits on the 8th floor, and the views run 360 degrees across the Milan skyline. A cocktail bar and lounge share the terrace. Guests lose the pool at 6 p.m., which shortens the swim day.
Our take
Planning is easiest here, since the hotel publishes both a floor and exact hours and no other pool on our list does. As of 2024, the hotel says no other 5-star property in Milan has a rooftop pool.
The downside is the schedule. Guests have the terrace until 6 p.m., and the bar crowd takes over for the evening, 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. For a late swim, look elsewhere. Heating isn't published, and Milan's December and January highs are about 7 degrees C.
