This central Nairobi hotel has its heated pool on the 5th floor, beside the alfresco Pool Deck restaurant. The pool area looks over Nairobi town. The catch is that the hotel publishes no hours and no access rules for non-guests.
Our take
Sarova Stanley is the central-Nairobi pick on our list, at the junction of Kenyatta Avenue and Kimathi Street. The Stanley Health Club adjoins the pool on the same floor, with a gym, aerobics studio, sauna and steam room.
The downside is information. Unlike Kingfisher Nest, which publishes 6 AM to 8 PM, Sarova Stanley lists no pool hours and no day-pass route. Email the hotel before you count on a late swim.
