The pool
The pool and solarium sit on the 8th-floor rooftop terrace at 12 Av. Félix Faure, with palm trees, sunbeds and 360-degree views across the city and the Mediterranean. It is open June to September, weather permitting. The pool isn't heated.
Our take
Aston La Scala and Splendid are the two guests-only 8th-floor pools on our list, and Aston publishes a tighter window: 10:00 to 17:00, June to September. Splendid opens April to October and is free to guests.
The downside is the season and the lack of heat. The hotel says the water is naturally pleasant May to October, but it only opens the pool from June, and outside that there is nothing to swim in. The hotel mentions the eighth floor, though another page says seventh.
