A known height is the draw here: the pool is on the 6th floor, the only floor any hotel on our list publishes. Access is the catch, because the hotel says nothing about non-guest swimming.

The pool

The pool sits on the 6th floor of a Downtown hotel at 170 S W Temple St, which opened in October 2022. Access, heating and hours are all unpublished.

Our take

Hyatt Regency is the one hotel on our list that gives a floor, and that counts for something when you're comparing. Element and Le Méridien both publish heating and guests-only rules but leave the floor out. Here it's the reverse: the floor is clear and the rules are not.

The downside is the missing access policy. No day pass, guest-only rule or heating is listed, and December highs average 3.9°C. Ask the front desk about winter swimming and non-guest entry before you book a room for the pool.

Good to know

  • 6th-floor pool, the only floor published on our list
  • Downtown address at 170 S W Temple St
  • 4.5 Google rating from 1111 reviews

The catches

  • Access rules for non-guests aren't published
  • Heating isn't published, which matters with 3.9°C December highs

Best forTravelers who want a pool on a stated floor and are happy to phone the hotel about access.

Skip it ifYou need a guaranteed heated pool or a clear day-pass rule before you book.

Getting in

Access rules aren't listed anywhere. No day pass appears, and nothing says whether the pool is guests only.

Staying is the safe route. To visit without a room, call the hotel first and get the answer in writing.

Tips

  • Before booking, send a message or phone with three questions: non-guest access, heating, and winter hours.
  • If you're coming for swimming weather, aim for June to August.

Before you go. Confirm the pool is open and heated on your dates. Heating and winter operation are unpublished.
