Go to CasaBlanca for a rooftop soak, not laps. The terrace has individual stone bathtubs, one mini pool each, with views of Old San Juan, the bay and San Cristóbal Fort. Access rules aren't published.

The pool

CasaBlanca Hotel is at 316 C. de la Fortaleza in San Juan Antiguo, and the pool is a rooftop terrace. It has individual stone bathtubs and jacuzzis, with lounge chairs. Views take in Old San Juan, the bay and San Cristóbal Fort.

Our take

This is the only entry on our list built around bathtub-sized pools. Guests set the water temperature themselves, which no other hotel here publishes. Three hot spas sit on the new south terrace.

The downside is that nothing about access is published: no day pass, no guest rules, no hours, no floor. For lengths, O:LV Hotel's infinity pool is the better match.
