The pool
The pool is on the 6th floor of Grand Hotel Flora on Corso Italia, with loungers and a panorama of Sorrento and the horizon. The Sky Bar sits next to it on the same floor. The catch is the room-type restriction.
Our take
Flora is the one hotel on our list that publishes its pool floor, and the 6th floor is a clear fact to plan around. Hotel Palazzo Guardati is also guests only, but Flora narrows it further to suite categories. Junior Suite guests, on floors 2 to 5, get exclusive access to the rooftop pool.
The downside is that a standard room doesn't get you up there. A separate ground-floor garden pool is also listed, with sunbeds, umbrellas and its own pool bar, though the hotel doesn't say who may use it. Heating isn't published either.
