Summer is when Granada's rooftop pools make sense: June to August are the best three months, and January highs average just 12.6°C. Six hotels here have a rooftop pool, and none sells day passes. Two restrict the pool to guests, while the other four don't publish their access rules.

Our first pick is Hotel Luna Granada Centro, which is open all year, with winter hours of 10:00 to 23:00, the latest close on our list. For a lower-priced summer stay, Sercotel Granada Suites has rooms from 63€ a night and a pool open 10:00 to 20:30 from 1 June to 30 September.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not

These Granada hotels come up in rooftop searches, but their own pages describe a terrace, an indoor pool or a spa pool rather than a swimming pool on the roof.

  • Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel. The hotel's own site describes its pool as an indoor heated pool under a historic brick vault. The rooftop is mentioned for Alhambra views and breakfast, with no pool on it.
  • Meliá Granada. No source says Meliá Granada has a swimming pool, on the roof or elsewhere. The hotel's site describes "The Level" terraces with Alhambra views and a review names a "Nervio Roof", but none of these is stated to have a pool. The room page's "Hotels with swimming pool" label is generic and does not place a pool at this hotel.
  • Hotel Monasterio Granada Adults Only. The hotel's own pages describe a rooftop terrace ("azotea") with a bar, but no source mentions a swimming pool, so it does not qualify as a rooftop pool.
  • Eurostars San Antón. The hotel's own site describes a panoramic rooftop-style terrace, El Mirador de San Antón, serving drinks. No source mentions a swimming pool, so it cannot be confirmed as a rooftop pool.
  • Eurostars Gran Vía. The hotel's own site describes only a heated spa pool ("Piscina dinámica de agua caliente") in a wellness circuit, plus a terrace for drinks. No rooftop swimming pool is mentioned in any source.
