Pick this for a summer stay when you want a drink beside the pool. The rooftop has loungers, a solarium and a bar open in season. The pool is closed 31 October to 30 April, and those dates can change.
The pool
The pool is an urban pool on the hotel rooftop in Albaicín, with a solarium and sun loungers. Views reach the Sierra Nevada and the city. The hotel doesn't say whether it's outdoors, and it's closed for six months.
Our take
Catalonia is the list's pool with a summer bar attached. Room Mate Leo has an honesty bar, but Catalonia's terrace bar runs only in summer season, as does the pool. Sercotel also closes in winter, but publishes tighter hours.
Today, 1 November, the pool is already in its closed period. The wellness spa has its own pool and Turkish bath, and that is a separate pool from the rooftop one. Visit in June to August for the best chance of both being open.
